Bio
Andrea Trucco was born in Genoa, Italy, in 1970. He received a Laurea (M.Sc.) degree in Electronic Engineering in 1994 and a Ph.D. degree in Electronic Engineering and Computer Science in 1998 from the University of Genoa. He was appointed Assistant Professor at the Department of Biophysical and Electronic Engineering (DIBE) of the same university in 1998 and Associate Professor in Telecommunication in 2005. Since 2008, he is the DIBE's Vice-Director. His main research interests include: array signal processing, acoustical imaging, acoustic image processing, underwater acoustics and sonar systems, underwater communications, ultrasound medical imaging, microphone arrays, hearing aids. He is an Associate Editor for the IEEE Journal of Oceanic Engineering and for the IEEE Transactions on Ultrasonics, Ferroelectrics, and Frequency Control. He is an IEEE Senior Member. The scientific cooperation with IIT started on 2011 and is focused on audio-visual integration, generation and analysis of acoustic images, acoustic arrays for multimedia signal processing.
