The Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia in Genoa, in collaboration with the Mind the Bridge Foundation (MtB), leads off the MtB Italy Tour Genova@IIT on June 22nd, 2011, with the opening of the official registration starting from June 1st. Those interested in participating in the informational meeting on entrepreneurship in the technical field can register online www.iit.it/mtbtour by June 18th.
The event will include the involvement of different personage in the scientific, entrepreneurial, and financial fields. The MtB Italy Tour Genova@IIT is designed to be the point of contact between the entrepreneurial projects with the most interest and the world of venture capitalists, able to give a future to the more salient business ideas. It is possible, in fact, to submit executive summaries of new projects for start-ups until June 18th, which will then be evaluated by a panel of experts who will select the top four to meet with the investors in a “business gym”.
The schedule of the day is divided by two distinct halves: the morning will be dedicated to seminars on key elements for the start of new entrepreneurial activities in the high-tech field, from the drafting of a business plan to the venture capital market and opportunities in Silicon Valley; in the afternoon the four selected start-ups will present their innovative ideas in front of a panel of experts and investors to receive constructive feedback, following the model of the incubator GYM managed by MtB in San Francisco.
