Bio

Born in Rome, 06/01/1983.

After obtaining the master degree in Electronic Engineering at the University of Rome “La Sapienza” in May 2008, I joined the group of Prof. Enzo Di Fabrizio and I defended my Ph.D. thesis "A new generation of artificial superhydrophobic surfaces for probing solution droplets by X-Ray scattering" in Biomedical Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Catanzaro in July 2012. The Ph.D. project was developed between the BIONEM Laboratory at the University of Catanzaro, the European Synchrotron Radiation Facility in Grenoble (France) and the IIT. In Grenoble, where I spent three years, I worked under the supervision of Dr. Christian Riekel.

I joined the IIT Nanostructures department in April 2012 as Post-Doc.

Research Fields: Nanofabrication, Microfluidics, Superhydrophobic surfaces, X-Ray diffraction techniques, Soft condesed matter, Raman and FTIR spectroscopy.
