The D3 will hold on Sept. 24th an international workshop on New Therapies on Inflammation. The workshop will feature lectures by leaders in the field and will be attended by members of D3 DDN (Drug Discovery Network). It is also open to the participation of other interested investigators.

A new method for predicting whether a drug candidate will interact with its protein target has been devised in a collaborative work between D3 at IIT, University of Bologna and University of Geneva. The importance of this work has recently been highlighted in the News and Views section of Nature.

A study published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences (PNAS) highlights the role of the enzyme N-acylethanolamine-hydrolyzing acid amidase in preventing the destruction of palmitoylethanolamide (PEA). An important step towards the development of new therapies for inflammatory diseases.
