The Business Development group provides a gateway for the scientific discoveries made at the D3 into the challenging markets of medicines and diagnostics. Our group works in four main areas.

Collaboration and partnership with universities and other research institutes, life science companies and venture capital groups;

Protecting, marketing and licensing the intellectual property resulting from our research - in collaboration with the Technology Transfer Office of the IIT;

Fund-raising activities - in collaboration with the Grants Office of the IIT.
Claudio De-Fraja is a biologist with more than 10 years of research experience in industry and academia. In 2004 he co-founded VetBioPharma LLC, a biotech company focused on innovative therapies for pets. He joined the D3 in 2007.
