Bio
Anna Maddalena was born and educated in Italy. In 2001, she received her MS degree in Computer Science and in 2006 she received her Ph.D. from the University of Genoa, Italy. From 2006 to 2008, she worked as post-doc at the Department of Computer and Information Sciences of the University of Genoa, Italy.
Anna has a strong background in the area of databases and information systems and her research interests mainly include: knowledge pattern management, Data Mining, and Data Warehousing. In the past few years, she has been involved in several national and European research projects. She participated to the organization of several conferences and workshops, both as organizing committee member and program committee member, and served as reviewer for different international journals.
In February 2009, she joined the Drug Discovery and Development Department of the Italian Institute of Technology where she is currently working on the design and development of a data management platform providing versatile support for chemical, analytical, and biological data management and data mining.
