Virtual Reality PowerWall | The Virtual Environment is projected on a 4x2 m screen by two Christie Mirage S+ 4000 projectors, synchronised with StereoGraphics CrystalEyes active shutter glasses. We use a Sun 333.3 workstation (dual core AMD Opteron, processors 2218, 2.60 GHz, 2.50 GB RAM) with Windows XP Professional and Nvidia Quadro FX 4600 video card. |

3D desktop | A 19” 3D monitor is plugged to a machine with an NVidia FX4800 quad buffer graphic card, for the 3D visualization. Four Optitrack cameras are placed around the desk for tracking the passive markers during the interactions. |

Phantom | Phanthom Omni R by Sensable Technologies. The device has six DOF positional sensing and 3 DOF force actuation in a workspace of 160 W x 120 H x 70 D mm. The maximum exertable force at nominal (orthogonal arms) position is 3.3 Newton. |

Intersense Tracking System | The head of the user is tracked in position and orientation by an Intersense IS900 inertial-ultrasonic motion tracking system. A tracked wanda is used for interaction with the VE. |

Portable 3D stereoscopic system | The PC used for the desktop 3D is connected to a portable DELL 3D projector. The VE is visualized on a portable retro-projected 240x180cm screen. |

3D Audio | 14.1 audio system, composed by a m-audio profire 2626 audio interface, routing 15 outputs to two 8 channel power amplifiers. The 15 audio out streams are sent to the amplifiers through the 2 optical digital outputs of the audio interface. Each optical output is demultiplexed and converted into parallel analog signals, which feed the analog XLR inputs of the two amplifiers. |
