Simone Ungaro
Born in Rome on 3 February 1971.

Degree in Business and Economics, Università La Sapienza di Roma (1995).

From January 2008 to January 2010 he has been a member of the Executive Committee of the Fondazione Italian Institute of Technology (IIT).

Since August 2007 he is Director general of the Fondazione Italian Institute of Technology (IIT).

2006 - 2007: Responsible for technology transfer of IIT as liaison between industry and scientific network of the Institute.

2004 - 2005: Advisor to the IIT Commissioner. Responsible for the coordination of all activities related to the start-up of the Institute.

2003 - 2006: Member of the Advisory and Tributary Inspection Service of the Ministry of Economy and Finance with the title of Expert.

2002 - 2006: Advisor to the General State Account and subsequently to the Director General of the Treasury (Ministry of Economy and Finance) for the setup and management of projects in the areas of organization, e-government, and forecasting and control models of state finance.

1998 - 2002: Deloitte Consulting-Manager in charge of projects in Italy, UK, and Spain, in the areas of organization, planning, and control of leading companies in the energy, transport and telecommunication sectors and UN Agencies.
